Staying “Covid Safe”

As a traveling notary public in Encino, California, I had to adjust to the new normal of business. I always arrive at my notary appointments with a facial mask on. Additionally, I carry hand sanitizer for myself and my clients. Furthermore, we maintain social distancing for the vast majority of the appointment. Finally, a friendly nod or bow has now replaced the traditional handshake.

I’m happy to accommodate my clients needs and requests. Either meeting outside in their backyard, wearing protective gloves or signing on a hood of a car. I always go above and beyond to make sure my clients are safe and happy.

I also help businesses with their clients. By taking important documents to their clients to sign and notarize, clients can avoid the risk of public spaces. Also, I can courier documents back to the business to make the transaction a one day ordeal.

It’s been a while since my last Encino Notary Public Journal entry. I have continued to network with other professionals and notary public. Also, I am starting a notary network for notary public.

I’m a notary public who is available after hours

Sometimes despite having all the information (After hours Notary Public) for my business on my website, Yelp, Linkedin, Facebook and various notary directories, I still need to clarify my hours/fees. Most clients don’t understand that I am a self employed person with a life outside of my business. I have my normal business hours 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday in which I have my office open. I also specify that I only accept walk-in clients by appointment only since I am mostly a mobile notary that is out and about doing notarizations. I always try to accommodate clients as much as possible when setting appointments. My after hours notary public services is only for mobile notary services. I don’t live in my office 24/7. I offer this service because I understand that working people can’t take the time to go to a local notary public’s office. I also have to charge for travel because I take my time and incur expenses driving out to meet with the client to execute documents. This is the cost of convenience for the client and cost of business for myself. I always explain to potential clients that if they want to save on the travel fees, they can always set up an appointment at my office. I never force my services on anyone, again I am here for convenience for those who can’t notarize their documents during working hours.

After Hours Mobile Notary Public

Typically people work 9-5 jobs. That’s why i offer 24/7 mobile notary services to the public. Yes it may cost a little more because of a travel fee charge. It’s the cost of convenience for the client and the cost of business for myself.

Remember, a person has to take time out of their day, (unpaid time) to drive over to a notary public, look for parking, wait in line, get their docs notarized and then drive back in a rush. Yes that sounds a bit much, but those are the actions taken.

Whereas a call to Fast Notary Service to setup an appointment later in the day (home or coffee shop) to notarize at their leisure. Typically, a notarization of one document for one person’s signature takes only about 5 minutes. So your whole notary experience is boiled down to a 2 minute call and a quick meeting with you to notarize your documents. Whereas one driving over to a notary public would take at least an hour (depending on traffic and parking).

There are people who are fortunate enough to work near a notary public’s office. That reduces the time to about 20 minutes, but that is still 20 minutes of either unpaid time or taken away from your lunch.
