Sometimes despite having all the information (After hours Notary Public) for my business on my website, Yelp, Linkedin, Facebook and various notary directories, I still need to clarify my hours/fees. Most clients don’t understand that I am a self employed person with a life outside of my business. I have my normal business hours 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday in which I have my office open. I also specify that I only accept walk-in clients by appointment only since I am mostly a mobile notary that is out and about doing notarizations. I always try to accommodate clients as much as possible when setting appointments. My after hours notary public services is only for mobile notary services. I don’t live in my office 24/7. I offer this service because I understand that working people can’t take the time to go to a local notary public’s office. I also have to charge for travel because I take my time and incur expenses driving out to meet with the client to execute documents. This is the cost of convenience for the client and cost of business for myself. I always explain to potential clients that if they want to save on the travel fees, they can always set up an appointment at my office. I never force my services on anyone, again I am here for convenience for those who can’t notarize their documents during working hours.
